Next regular Board meeting: September 24, 2026
The annual meeting and 7th Co-op anniversary were a huge success with over 100 attendees.
The annual proposed budget – increased expenses and lot rent reduction for the membership due to the Town’s new co-op property value shifting to the homeowners was discussed at length during the month and at the membership annual meeting.
Bylaw amendment regarding distribution of funds approved by the membership due to inflation.
Community rule amendment approved to provide clarity about mowing requirements
Elections – Incumbents for Vice President and Treasurer were re-elected for the 2 year term.
Snow plow vendor – Nov – May Board approved
Leach field replacements (7): 3 of the 7 are completed, 2 are waiting on additional permitting, and 5 are in the planning and permitting stage to be completed in 2027.
Electric D&K engineers’ conditions report: priority; all 27 electrical upgrades are satisfactory; 10 temporary feeds will be addressed for the next phase of the project.
Director at Large position remains open for Board appointment from now until August 2027.
Westbury Village received a grant for community activities and physical wellness and generously offered it to the Westbury Co-op.
Homes for sale are 111 Brennan Street, 257 Wedgewood Road, and 20 Wexford Lane. 104 Lexington Rd. & 50 Wyndham Rd are sale pending.
The pool will close for the season on September 7th. Thank you to the pool attendants for a fantastic job.
Kiddos were sent off to their first day of school with decorations at the bus stop, treats, drinks, and stress balls. Parents and a few volunteers gave them a warm send-off.
The property tax bills were received, and payment was due on August 31, 2026. A couple of homeowners will be appealing their manufactured home assessment to the Board of the civic authority, tentatively in October.
All three Colchester Manufactured Home Cooperatives are in the process of appealing the common land assessed value and have retained an attorney to represent them.
