Westbury February 2023 Recap

The village project team continues to collect petition signatures. The tally is scheduled for April. The team continues to explore the discrepancies between the town’s registered voters checklist vs the current Westbury resident spreadsheet.

ARPA grants, PRICE grants, and earmarked Congressionally Directed Funding applications for innovative projects in Vermont continue to be explored.

The last leg of the Coventry rd electrical upgrade project will resume in the Spring. 2022/2023 Tree removal will be completed in March.

Volunteer Maintenance Committee continues to provide grounds inspections, clean up, tree & brush removal, and repairs within the scope of their capabilities. *Designated mapping for Snow removal heaps placement appears to be helping to keep access clearance to Water main valves, Septic stations, and electrical meter banks as well as to avoid visual obstruction on our roads as best as possible. If you have any concerns about the current mapping system please contact PMA at (802) 860 -3315. (Scott or Caleb) *Chipping & removal of the large piles of brush in the designated common area is scheduled to be performed in the Spring. *Additional security cameras will be placed in the common area near the office/mailroom and work shed/garage. * Home improvement & service requests are to be submitted by Wednesday of each week with an expected turnaround time of approx 2 weeks from the time they are collected. Submitting them through the website may help to expedite the process. *One handicapped parking sign will be placed at the office/mailroom in the near future as a reminder to leave the space available for those with mobility issues.

Tuberville food donations at the office porch, grocery shopping & Westbury CCFS recipient’s deliveries continue to be provided by Tuberville throughout the month. 2 slots remain open.

Volunteer/Socialial committee Snow Creations Contest registration from 2/15 thru 3/15 is being accepted. Prize for the best creation is $25.
