Next tentatively scheduled meeting is the Annual Membership Meeting on August 25, 2022. Time and Location will be posted in the very near future.
The annual meeting packet containing the draft ballot for the 2022/2023 Budget, Candidates for Board Vice president & Treasurer as well as Community rule changes will be sent out by August 15, 2022. If you are a Co-op member in good standing and interested in either of those positions please contact PMA at [email protected]. Director 1 and Director 3 positions will become vacant and are eligible for Board appointment as well. Please contact G pezzo at [email protected] for further information regarding those positions
Treasurers report for the month of June was provided at the July 28th Board meeting as well as the proposed annual budget for our upcoming fiscal year. October 1, 2022 thru September 30, 2023. This will be included in the packet to be distributed to the membership and presented at the annual membership meeting.
The electrical upgrades for Coventry Rd will begin in August and Leach Field replacement are scheduled to begin no later than October 2022.
The Board has approved a 2 Tier lot rent system that will be applicable to all non- members. The membership will also need to approve this system on the ballot for the annual meeting voting. All current non- members can become a member at any time by contacting PMA, filling out the membership agreement and providing the $100 membership fee. Becoming a member provides all the benefit of living in a shared community.
The Board approved a rent increase of approx 12% for the apartment rental located at 289 Coventry due to the rise in expenses over the past couple of year.
The maintenance committee has repaired and upgraded the basketball court and included a pickle ball court. Plans for Shuffleboard are still in discussion. The potholes have been filled for all the roads. Tree and brush are removed regularly and park grounds clean-up are done 1 to 2 rime per week. Vehicle maintenance and repairs is on going thanks to the committee. Home/lot improvement requests are addressed and inspections done as they come in. Thanks to the Home/Lot Inspection committee. There is a new lock box in the mailroom under the wall files to deposit town building permit applications to obtain the Co-op authorized signature and to submit a copy of the permit once you receive it from the town.
The Volunteers/Social Committee is planning some Swims Nites for the month of August when very hot weather is predicted. The Summer celebration Co-op 3rd anniversary pool party was a lot of fun. Music, DJ supplied by Wayne G, Karaoke, sparkling lights throughout the evening, hot dogs, cowboy bean, popcorn. Snow cones station managed by the kiddos ( Jeremy W & Ryann K) Thanks kids you did an awesome job! Three raffles drawn, $50 prize each: Congratulations to the winners, Volunteers for the past 3 years: winner (Denise & Scott S), Maintenance Committee member: (Louie L) & Community members (Penny C). A special thanks Penny for manning the grill and all the other community members that filled in to take over Gayle P tasks since she was unable to be there. A Poster Board was displayed with the 82 names of all the Westbury community members who have is some manner contributed and donated to the co-op over the past 3 year! Y’all are the heartbeat of this community and our success is largely attributed to your efforts. Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
