Here is a little more of the story surrounding Westbury and how we got here. Most of the facts are common knowledge but some are not. Part of the reason for this series of postings of our past and the relationship with the Town is the hope that the more we know the better decisions we are able to make.
After the Coop finished the purchase of the park we learned that there were several offers in addition to ours and none of them were focused on keeping the park open. The previous owners let us know that they were hoping we would be successful as they felt that is “what Betty would have wanted.”
Hopefully, the more everyone is aware and understands the entire circumstances of how we have gotten to where we are it will better ensure that the decisions we and others make are based on sound information and facts.
Moving forward and believing that the town of Colchester and all those entrusted to serve every resident in Colchester fairly and purposefully will result in discussions that will address the needs of all Colchester residents on every issue.
