WESTBURY MARCH 2023 RECAP

Next tentatively scheduled regular Board meeting is April 27, 2023

The meeting minutes for February are posted as a draft on the website and will be motioned for approval at the next scheduled Board meeting.

Treasurer’s report was provided for the month of February and is available upon request.

All hardcopy capital improvement plans that were overseen by our project manager from 2019 up until the completion of the electrical upgrade on Coventry for this Spring have been provided to the co-op. We would like to thank Jay Leclair for his exceptional work on the capital improvements and wish him the best of luck with his move and new journey.

The Security camera footage is being reviewed for an explanation of how dozens of roofing nails were scattered around the office and workshed area.

The first meeting of the Environmental Justice Advisory Council took place in Berlin on March 10, 2023. G.Pezzo will represent Mobile Home Communities in Vermont. The Council is a public body and meetings are open to the public as well as subject to the public record act.

The Village project team continues to collect petition signatures from Westbury registered voters

Tree service will be completed this month or in early April weather permitting. An assessment of the next priority trees will be logged for the next fiscal year. Trees that become a hazard will be assessed & addressed individually. Do not hesitate to submit a service request form to be included in the evaluation for next year’s evaluation. If it is an emergency please contact PMA at (802) 860-3315.

The Volunteer/Social committee meetings will resume in April. Discussions will include Westbury Green Up Day, WHAI annual anniversary celebration, and events to consider for the Spring & Summer. Resident suggestions are welcome. Tubervile Farm Table continues to offer food donations on the office porch Monday as well as grocery & Food Shelf delivery weekly for those that have registered for the service. 2 slots remain available.

Completion of the electrical upgrade on Coventry Road is scheduled to take place very soon. Residents affected will be notified.

The next capital improvements planning will be discussed next month. This will include electrical upgrades the state electrical inspector deems a priority and leach field replacements that have been judged as a priority.

Our Volunteer Maintenance Committee plans to be clearing drains, chipping brush/wood piles that have accumulated, painting and replacing shingles that were donated for the pumphouse, and small shed repair, removing downed trees and branches within the scope of their ability, inspecting the roads and all the other issues in the park that the winter takes havoc upon as soon as the weather permits they are ready to do their magic. Volunteers are needed to help with light tasks Mondays and Saturdays.

Composting barrels – Please use the composting containers as required by the state regulation for composting. There’s a post up on the bulletin board and on this website for the do’s & don’t.

A reminder will be sent to all residents in April about the reflective house numbers requirement.

Please remember to register your ESA with the Town of Colchester. Registration for dogs is required in the month of April.

PMA/Enforcement committee drive-thru inspections are conducted throughout the month. Violations have been minimal. Thanks to all for your cooperation!
