In the past couple of weeks there have been complaints made that our Vendor is combining trash with recycling. This has been addressed directly with vendor. They apologize that this may have happened and will look into this and will take action to ensure that it does not continue moving forward. The vendor discussed that they have recently had some temporary employees which may be responsible for this happening.
The vendor did however want Westbury residents to know that their policy is the following “if the recycling is contaminated with food it will be handled like trash”. Please see the recycling guide below and as a gentle reminder to residents, please ensure that you are rinsing your recyclables so that they are free of food and can be properly recycled.
